Fashionistas rejoice colour is back! 

Forget Paris, NewYork and Milan and follow the fashion pack to Dublin for the hottest Summer trends this season. Dublin City Centre’s leading stores came together to showcase the Capital’s sizzling Summer styles. Colour is definitely back on the streets with vibrant Summer tones -such as bright orange, canary yellow and lime green making a comeback - a riot of colour was unveiled at a Summer Fashion photocall set against the iconic surroundings of City Hall.

Summer in the city is fun and fashionable with over 4,000 shops and 10 department stores and shopping centres to choose from. Dublin city Centre offers the best choice, atmosphere and value for money in Ireland.

Six of Ireland’s leading models wore Summer trends from Dublin City Centre’s leading fashion retailers namely Arnotts, Clerys, Penneys, Ilac Shopping Centre, Jervis Shopping Centre and Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre.

Summer 2009 is awash with colour as vibrant popping electric brights compete with soft sorbet tints, making a gloomy economy seem brighter. The re-emergence of colour has brought back variety to a woman’s wardrobe, lighting her face and enabling her to make the best of herself. The ‘Dynasty’ decade is back with a vengeance – go for big shoulders, body con trousers, jumpsuits and harem trousers. The nautical look has also been given a twist. Stripes are still huge news, but combine with every permutation of the classic red, white and blue palette and cute accessories (think oversized hair bows and sunnnies). The one shoulder or single shoulder trend is also a key component for ‘Summer in the City’ 2009 (think Michelle Obama).
